You know you're a parent when you have more binkies in your purse than change.

YKYAPW #7 - Car

You know you're a parent when if someone showed up at your door and offered you a Maserati or a minivan,  you wouldn't hesitate as you snatched the minivan's keys right out of their hand and pushed them out of the way to go check out your sweet new ride.

YKYAPW #6 - Pockets

You know you're a parent when a binky falls out of your pocket while you're rifling around for change at Starbucks and you aren't the least bit embarrassed.

YKYAPW #5: Parents' bedtime

You know you're a parent when you wonder how fast you can actually fall asleep when you finally make it to bed. At 9pm. And you shoot for 2 minutes. 3 tops.

YKYAPW #4: Clothes

You know you're a parent when you spend more time picking out children's clothes to buy (you know, the clothes that your kid will only wear for a matter of weeks) than your own clothes (you know, clothes you'll wear FOR YEARS).

YKYAPW #2 - Crime

You know when you're a parent when you hear about a crime against a child and your reaction is less like, "Oh wow, that's horrible!" and more like, "OH MY GOD WHAT KIND OF ANIMAL COULD DO THAT THEY SHOULD BE SET ON FIRE!"

YKYAPW #1: Parents' Bedtime

You know you're a parent when at 9pm you think, "Man, it's getting late! I have to get in bed ASAP!" Which is immediately followed by the thought, "My 20-year-old self would totally kick my ass for thinking that right now."
